Change of Ownership/Category conversion
Change of Ownership
| Ownership of water connections can be changed only when there is a change in ownership and shall be effected by giving an application in the prescribed form along with the Ownership certificate from the local body to the Assistant Executive Engineer. The change of ownership is allowed only after clearing the water charge arrears if any, remitting of transfer fee and executing the water supply agreement in stamp paper worth Rs.50/-. If the water meter is not working, new owner will have to replace the meter also. |
Change of category
| The category of water connection can be converted (Non-domestic to Domestic or vice versa) if the nature of consumption changes from one category to another, by applying in the prescribed form (Form X) and remitting the required fees and after getting approval from the Assistant Executive Engineer. The request for the same has to be submitted before the actual change in the purpose of water connection. On the basis of the report of AE, the AEE will allow the requests. The new monthly charges will be as per tariff applicable to new category. |
