Water Quality Control

       The quality of piped water should conform to Water Quality Standards. Hence the  quality problems like excess fluoride, brackishness,  iron, arsenic etc. in drinking water     is to be tackled.

        The quality control programme was commenced in KWA in 1990, with three Regional Laboratories at Aluva, Kozhikode, Trivandrum.  8 District Level Laboratories already setup. The basic water quality tests on a day to day basics is done by the Operation & Maintenance Wing and Periodical returns are sent by them to Quality Control Wing for monitoring and suggestive corrective measures.

We conduct

  •           Physical, Chemical and Bacteriological tests at specified intervals and  checks whether the water conforms to Water Quality Standards. Quality tests on chemicals used in treatment plants.

Service Standards

  •          We  are  dedicated  to  provide safe  drinking water and better and speedy services to the  common  man,  augmenting  of  water supply and sewerage system and proper enforcement of the statutory provisions  in  accordance with Water Supply Acts, Regulations and Rules issued from time to time.
